The company is moving towards a more autonomous, efficient and data-driven production model, reinforcing the manufacturing of its SILA range and reducing external dependencies
Lancor Motores Eléctricos will take a new step in its industrial transformation process with an investment of 1.7 million euros in 2026, aimed at modernizing its production model, increasing its operational autonomy and strengthening its capacity to respond to the market.
This investment is part of the evolution that the company has been developing in recent years towards a more efficient, flexible and digitized model, in which process automation, the incorporation of new internal capabilities and the intensive use of data play a key role. With this, Lancor seeks to reduce delivery times, improve quality and offer increasingly customized solutions to its OEM customers.
Internalization of machining and technological leap
As part of this process, Lancor – part of the NERgroup –will address the internalization of machining processes, a strategic decision that will reduce dependence on external suppliers and move towards a more autonomous industrial model.
1.2 million, will be allocated to the acquisition of a 5-axis machining center with automatic pallet magazine, a high-precision piece of equipment that will enable the company to incorporate in-house operations that were previously outsourced.
This technology will make it possible to work with micrometer precision, increase operational autonomy, optimize production shifts and strengthen quality control throughout the process. It will also contribute to improving the complete traceability of manufactured components.
Reinforcement of the SILA range
The new machining center will be used primarily for the manufacture of SILA components, Lancor’s own range aimed at small and medium-sized elevator manufacturers that do not have their own design capacity.
Thanks to this investment, the company will be able to:
- Increasing the production volume of the SILA range
- Reduce operating costs
- Improve manufacturing and delivery times
- Raise quality standards and process control.
The new capacity will also make it possible to obtain semi-finished products for other production lines, reinforcing industrial flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of its main OEM customers.
Boosting diversification
Beyond the lifting sector, these investments lay the foundations for the strategic diversification process that Lancor is promoting.
While lifting will continue to be the main business driver, the company is making progress in the development of new applications in sectors such as:
- Small Wind (mini wind)
- Electric mobility
- Aeronautics, where advanced machining is a key element
These projects will allow the incorporation of new technologies, new products and new manufacturing capabilities, reinforcing Lancor’s positioning in high value-added markets.
Commitment to industrial excellence
In line with this commitment, Lancor will continue to participate in technological consortia at regional, European and international level, collaborating in the development of innovative and sustainable solutions.
These initiatives will be accompanied by future investments in infrastructure and production layouts, in order to guarantee the highest standards of industrial excellence.
With this new step, Lancor reaffirms its commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and the development of a more competitive, advanced and sustainable industry, capable of adapting to the challenges of a constantly changing environment.
